Accommodations

Albany House occupies an 18th-century building that was once part of the Earl of Clonmel's estate. Each room is individually styled and furnished with antique pieces. Guests have access to en-suite bathrooms with either bathtubs or walk-in showers.

Location & Access

The hotel sits a 5-minute walk from Grafton Street, Dublin's main shopping street, and the entertainment district of Temple Bar. St Stephen's Green park is a short walk from the front door. Public transport options include a tram station 3 minutes away and a direct bus connection to Dublin Airport.

Services & Amenities

The 24-hour front desk staff can store luggage for guests arriving before the 2pm check-in time or after the 11am check-out. A lift is available to help guests move luggage between floors, though a few steps remain at the entrance. Daily fresh towels are provided, and the hotel offers soundproof rooms for guests who request quiet accommodations.

Dining

A continental breakfast is served each morning in the Albany's breakfast room. The buffet includes cheeses, breads, cold meats, fresh fruit, yoghurt, gluten-free options, and French press coffee. An assortment of restaurants and bars are within a short walk from the hotel.

Property History & Character

Albany House is a privately owned residence built in the 1700s as part of the Earl of Clonmel's estate. The building features traditional Georgian architecture with high ceilings and a grand staircase. The entire property is non-smoking, including all guest rooms and common areas.

“This Dublin B&B distinguishes itself with its Georgian architecture and individually styled rooms. It's near St Stephen's Green and Grafton Street, making it a solid base for exploring the city. I think the personalized breakfast service and 24-hour reception are nice touches, too.”

the location met my basic expectations because it was close to everything.
i found the room quite small, and it lacked air conditioning. the noise levels were unacceptable due to nearby clubs which operated late into the night making sleep difficult.

The hotel is in a GREAT location. I could walk to many sites. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious.
My room faced the street. There was noise from nearby clubs until late at night. This made it difficult to sleep, even with the windows closed. Next time, I will request a room away from the street.
